A living tribute to Míkis Theodorákis
ABOUT THE EVENT
La Badinerie celebrates the centenary of Míkis Theodorákis with an evening-homage. At the heart of the programme: the Canto General, a choral fresco based on the poems of Pablo Neruda. In prelude: four songs extracted from other choral works by Míkis Theodorákis: the Mauthausen Cantata, the Lipotaktes cycle, and the Axion esti oratorio.
On stage: ∼100 choristers, soloists, an actor, and an ensemble of 16 musicians.
Because I have three lives. One to suffer. Another to desire. And a third to overcome.
